Sankalp Project


• The Sankalp project was launched across India for skill development. Recently the ministry of skill development and Entrepreneurship has called for SANKALP Scheme to focus on district- level skilling ecosystem through convergence and coordination.


• Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP) is a program launched by the ministry of skill development in 2018.


SANKALP is an outcome-oriented program of ministry of development &(MSDE)with a special focus on decentralized planning and quality improvement.


• It is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme which is collaboration with the world bank.


• It aims to implement the mandate of the National skill development mission (NSDM).


• The program’s goal is to strengthen the institutional mechanisms for skill development and increase access to training for youth and as well as for women.


• This project works on identifies the areas where no educational facilities are present and priorities initiatives based upon the available resources.


• We got this project from NIESBUD and it was Sponsored by NIESBUD. Sankalp was a three days training program for females/transgenders. Our trainer on the first day was Mr. Sumit Sharma, on the second day & third day Ms. Bhanupriya was our trainer.


• There were 55 people who attended three days training program. Among 55people, there were 3 transgenders & 52 women. In these three days, we provided tote bags with notepad and a pen & refreshment to every trainee.


• These three days were full of information, trainees got to know about business ideas, many schemes launched by the government, about Udyam, how to register on Udyam, some of them put up some questions &trainer answered it very nicely and patiently. we also asked some women about the training they gave a positive response and also told us to inform us of any training program held in future.


• The plan will strengthen the system by allowing for skill growth. To develop trained workforce, the project has brought all of the stages together under one roof. The vocational training will aid in the development of fresh ideas that will be held the country grow faster.


• The Sankalp scheme is exclusively available to Indian citizens, and candidate must be at least 18 years old to begin vocational training. To grasp the training program, candidates must have a basic education. The program is also open to those from schedule castes, schedule tribes, and people with impairment. those are eligible to participate in the scheme and get vocational training.


• The states will be allowed grants for reform and capacity building agenda based on annual performance. However, the utilization of these grants will be as per the priorities of the states, which will be set under the state skill plan and submitted to the project steering committee for approval.


• This project was done by our NAVV KHUSH BHARAT NGO. In this project, women around us were connected and made a part of the Sankalp project.
• Our organization has been working on women empowerment and child development since the beginning.


• Our organization work on continuously child education and vocational skill for women. Also works on women’s skill that will help them become working women in the future.
